Dental Fillings

Dental fillings are a common and effective solution for restoring teeth affected by cavities or decay. At Princeton Dental Group, we prioritize your comfort while providing high-quality materials to seamlessly blend with your natural teeth. Our experienced team ensures precise application and long-lasting results, helping you maintain a healthy and confident smile.

Restore Teeth Affected by Cavities

Dental fillings are one of the most common ways to repair teeth damaged by decay. At Princeton Dental Group, we offer both traditional and modern options to restore strength, function, and appearance.

Types of Fillings

  • Silver Amalgam Fillings: Strong and durable, ideal for back teeth that handle heavy chewing.

  • Tooth-Colored Composite Fillings: Made from ceramic or resin materials that blend naturally with your smile. Suitable for both front and back teeth depending on the size of the cavity.

Direct vs. Indirect Fillings

  • Direct Fillings: Placed in a single visit. Includes amalgam, glass ionomer, and composite resin.

  • Indirect Fillings: Require two visits. Includes inlays, onlays, or veneers made from ceramic, composite, or gold. These are recommended when damage is too extensive for a standard filling but doesn’t yet require a crown.

Personalized Care for Lasting Results

The right filling depends on factors like tooth location, amount of remaining tooth structure, and bite pressure. Our dentists will walk you through your options and recommend the best solution for your smile.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Brummel for several years, and I think he’s terrific – kind, careful, and always willing to explain whatever is going on. I had a root canal yesterday, and it didn’t hurt at all. He, and his assistant Sue, are the best dental team I’ve ever had.

Dante M

The dentists are all skilled professionals and show a genuine caring for their patients. They took the time to identify treatments that needed to be done, why they needed to be done, and got them completed with little to no discomfort or inconvenience. The dental assistants, hygienists, and ad min team all add to the caring and professional environment I now appreciate at PDG. I am happy I made the move.
